The alumni task force formed by Kathmandu University to identify land within Panauti Municipality and coordinate with the concerned municipality for the expansion of academic programs of KU presented on probable location and its acquisition process.
The task force was coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Anup Thapa, and Er. Situ Sainju and Mr. Sujit Karmacharya were members of the committee. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa led KU delegates, and Panauti Municipality delegates led by Mayor Mr. Bhim Neupane suggested the probable locations. Both teams expressed their commitment to the execution of the process to acquire land to expand the academic programs of KU.
Panauti Municipality is eager to welcome KU and is ready to support in all aspects of the land acquisition process. Prof. Dr. Manish Pokharel, Dean of School of Engineering, welcomed the delegates through a welcome address and Prof. Dr. Rishikesh Wagle, Dean School of Law, acknowledged the guests from Panauti Municipality through a vote of thanks.
