On Nov 3rd, 2022 the Community Engagement Division organized a GPU Workstation handover ceremony at the Department of Physics. The Registrar of Kathmandu University Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle handed over the key of the high-end GPU Workstation to the Dean of the School of Science Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhene. Prof. Lamichene later handed the key to the HOD Department of Physics Prof. Dr. Ujjwal Man Joshi. The workstation is donated to Kathmandu University by the National Innovation Center. On the occasion physics faculty, Dr . Rajendra Adhikari highlighted the importance of computing, the progress made so far, and the service rendered by the Supercomputer Center to the Kathmandu University community. The workstation will be used for machine learning, drug design and discovery, quantum calculations, etc. At the event Associate Director of the Community Engagement Division, Mr. Kishor Khanal, all the Physics faculties, and the Director of Coordination and Communication Division Prof. Dr. Bibhuti Ranjan Jha were present.
